Generalized Functions and Convolutions

Abstract: We discuss how certain naturally defined partial orders on sets of monomials might be used to study important algebraic invariants associated to ideals in polynomial rings. In particular, we are primarily interested in homological invariants such as Betti numbers and Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity, and how they relate to the partial orders.
