Peristaltic Transport: Nonlinear and Curvature Effects

Abstract:   Flow of an incompressible viscous fluid driven by traveling waves on the boundaries of a channel will be presented when the inertia and streamline curvature are not negligible. The associated pumping characteristics and the trapping phenomena will be discussed.
