ATTENDANCE POLICY
Students are expected to attend class regularly. Roll will be taken either at the beginning orend of each class. Up to 3 extra points will be added to yourfinal course grade for perfect attendance and good classparticipation.

HOMEWORK
Homework assignments will be given and will be collected on exam day. Homework will be graded based on completeness (do all the problems, show all your work, and write neatly.) Test problems will be similar to the homework problems assigned. Thus, inaddition to regular attendance, doing homework assignments is a main factor to your success in this class.

TESTS
There will be quizzes (given regularly) and 4 in-class tests and a comprehensive final exam. Make up quizzes and exams will be given only in case of documented illness, family emergency, or university sponsored activity. Note that any calculator that can do symbolic differentiation and integration will not be allowed for quizzes and tests (for example, TI89 and TI92). Any use of this kind of calculator on exam will be considered cheating, with appropriate penalties..

GRADING POLICY
Quizzes and homework: 15%; in-classtests: 60%; final exam: 25%

GRADING SCALE

90 - 100% A
80 - 89% B
70 - 79% C
60 - 69% D
0 - 59% F

NC POLICY
If you attend80% or more of the lectures, take all tests, and have a finalaverage of at least 50%, then "No Credit" (NC grade) will beawarded in place of an F.
