ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance will be taken every day. If a student should need to miss class, he should contact the instructor as soon as possible. It is the student's responsibility to find out what material and assignments were missed due to an absence.

HOMEWORK
Homework will be assigned at each class meeting. The student is expected to attempt every problem before coming to class.

TESTS
There will be four in-class tests during the semester, unannounced quizzes, and a mandatory, cumulative final exam. There will be no make-up exams or quizzes during the semester unless the absence is excused by university policy (ie. religious holidays or university sponsored events requiring a student's attendance). The instructor has the right to ask for documentation to determine whether an absence is excused. ALL make up exams will be given on Saturday, December 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. If an exam is missed for another legitimate reason (to be determined by the instructor) then the final will be counted twice, as the missed test and the final exam.

GRADING POLICY
Class tests will be 70% of the final grade. Quizzes will be 5% of the final grade. Final Examination will be 25% of the final grade. Plus/minus grades will NOT be awarded.

GRADING SCALE

AverageGrade

OTHER INFORMATION
Only scientific calculators may be used on exams and quizzes. However, programmable and/or graphing calculators (such as the TI-95) will not be permitted.
