ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance will be taken every class. You will earn 3% extra credit on your test average if you have no more than 4 unexcused absences. Excused absences must be approved by the instructor no later than 7 days after the absence.

HOMEWORK
Homework from the text is suggested on the departmental syllabus and will be used as daily quiz questions. CAPA homework will also be assigned regularly. These assignments must be done online as they will be graded.

TESTS
Quizzes will be given each class period. They will usually be one question, taken directly from the suggested homework on the syllabus.There are four regular tests (100 points each) and a final exam (100 points). The final exam is mandatory for all students.

GRADING POLICY
The grading percentages are as follows: Progress Tests - 60%, Daily Quizzes - 10%, CAPA - 10%, and Final Exam - 20%.

80 - 89.9% B
70 - 79.9% C
0 - 69.9% F

NC POLICY
If you attend 80% or more of the lectures, take all tests, and have a final average of at least a 50%, then a No Credit (NC grade) will be awarded in place of an F.

IMPORTANT DATES
Tentative Test Dates: Test 1 - Tuesday, September 10; Test 2 - Thursday, October 3; Test 3 - Tuesday, October 29; Test 4 - Thursday, November 21; Final Exam - Tuesday, December 3 (4 p.m. - 7 p.m.)
