ATTENDANCE POLICY
It is strongly recommended that you attend all lectures. Attendance for all tests and quizzes is mandatory. No make up tests or quizzes will be given without written proof of a university approved absence (UCF function, religious holiday, death in the family, illness, etc.). You must discuss your circumstances with me ( in person or by email) within a week of the absence.

HOMEWORK
You should complete the questions at the end of each lesson, as they will improve your success on the quizzes.

TESTS
Quizzes: There will be ten quizzes (five questions each). They will be of similar standard to the homework questions at the end of each section in the book, and will contribute 10% of your grade.

Exams: There will be five tests during the semester (worth 100 points each) and a comprehensive final exam (worth 100 points). The lowest test grade will be dropped, but the final exam will NOT be dropped. You may not use graphic calculators, calculators on cell-phones or PDAs .
