ATTENDANCE POLICY Attendence is mandatory and roll will be taken every lecture.

HOMEWORK Come to discussion with all questions pertaining to the course material and CAPA problems.

TESTS There should be aproximately 10 quizzes.

GRADING POLICY All quizzes will be scored 2,1 or 0, depending on the correctnes of the answer and the amount of work shown. For example, a student who demonstrates the essential concepts but makes a small error could still receive a score of 1 etc.

NC POLICY (General College Algebra Policy) If you attend 80% or more of the lectures, take all tests, and have a final average of at least 50% then No Credit (NC grade) will be awarded in place of an F.

OTHER INFORMATION This discussion session was designed to aid College Algebra students in further understanding the concepts presented in lecture. This will be accomplished by discussing relevant questions both general and specific, reviewing and further emphasizing essential subject matter and by providing additional preparation for quizzes, tests and CAPA assignments as well. However, it should be noted that specific CAPA assignment questions cannot be solved entirely in discussion session or in office/Lab hours and that only guidance can be given on how to approach the problems.GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES:· Attendance is mandatory and roll will be taken at every session and undivided attention is required· Students must be on time and attend the full session to earn credit· 10 Quizzes will be given throughout the semester· The structure of each discussion will vary depending on what was presented in the previous class/classes· Bring all materials and notes used in lecture· No cellular phones, beepers or any other distracting devices are to ever be used in the session
