HOMEWORK
Homework problems will be assigned for almost each class meeting, but will not be graded. However,in quizzes, tests and the final exam similar problems will be used. Do the reading assignments before attempting the homework. READ THE BOOK. It is very important that you do homework regularly. You should spend at least two hours doing homework outside of class for every hour you spend in class.

TESTS
Tests will be given once every FOUR weeks (scheduled on September 17, October 15, November 12). Quizzes will be given every Wedensday except that there is a test on Friday that week. The final exam is scheduled on December 8. Each quiz carries 5 points with highest 10 scores counted into the final average. Each test carries 50 points, while the final exam carries 100 points. Some bonus points will be given for your presentation, attendence etc.

NC POLICY
If you attend 80% or more of the lectures, take all tests, and have a final average of at least 50% then No Credit (NC grade) will be awarded in place of an F.
