ATTENDANCE POLICY Attendance in the class is very important and will be checked. You will earn 3% extra credit on your Test average if you have no more than 6 unexcused absences. Excused absences may be approved by the instructor no later than seven days after the absence.
HOMEWORK You will be assigned homework to be done on the internet (CAPA), which will be graded and will make up 8 % of your course grade. These assignments have a deadline, which must be observed. Deatails will be mentioned in the class.
TESTS There will be four tests and a final examination. All examinations are held during the class period and are closedbook tests. No make up tests will be given. If one misses an examination for a valid reason to be determined by the instructor, then the Final examination will be used to assign a score for the missing test. A quiz will be given almost each week once or twice. Makeups for quizes will be given only when the absence occurs due to religious observances, medical reasons, family emergencies, or official University functions and when accompanied by appropriate documentation.
GRADING POLICY Four tests are 56% of the final grade, and the mandatory final examination is 24%. Quizes will comprise 12%, two lowest quiz grades will be dropped. CAPA homework 8 %. Attendance 3 % extra credit.
