Any person who attends and is on time for all but at most 2 classes will have 10 points added to his/her point total. Any person who attends and is on time for all but at most 5 classes will have 6 points added to his/her point total. If you leave class early, you will not be counted as attending that class. HOMEWORK Project: On March 9th a project will be assigned to groups of approximately 4 students each. There will be a written and an oral component to the project. The project will be worth 60 points. There will be a form for each member of the group to sign regarding help received. The project will be due on April 6th. TESTS Tentative plans call for either a quiz or a test every week during the term. 4 50-minute tests and 10 short quizzes will be given. The test and quiz dates are shown on the syllabus distributed in class. A comprehensive final exam will be given during the "Free Period" on Tuesday, April 24 from 1600-1850. Each 50-minute test will be worth 60 points and each quiz will be worth 8 points (the 2 lowest quizzes will be dropped). The final exam will be worth 120 points. No make-up tests or quizzes will be given, with the exception of documented absences due to religious holidays, family emergencies, illness, or official University functions. The final exam, and perhaps an additional question or two, will be used to compute a score for the tests or quizzes missed due to the circumstances listed above. NO graphing and/or programmable calculators will be allowed during quizzes, tests, or the final exam.
