ATTENDANCE POLICY Attendance is take randomly in both the lectures and the discussions and will effect the NC grade. (See below)

HOMEWORK Homework assigned in the syllabus is not collected and is there to help you prepare for the tests. However, there are 12 sets of web-based homework (CAPA) that must be completed. CAPA is generally handled through the discussion sections.

TESTS There are 4 in-class tests and a comprehensive final taken in the lecture room. There are also 10 quizzes that are administered during the discussion sections.

GRADING POLICY 4 in-class tests (50%), 10 discussion quizzes (10%), 12 CAPA sets (15%), Final Exam (25%), Bonus for Lecture Attendance (0 - 3 %)

NC POLICY If you attend 80% or more of the lectures and discussions, take all tests including the final, have a CAPA average of at least 70%, and have a final average of at least 50% then No Credit (NC grade) will be awarded in place of an F.
