ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance will be taken every day. If a student should need to miss class, he should contact the instructor as soon as possible. It is the student's responsibility to find out what material and assignments were missed due to an absence.

HOMEWORK
Homework will be assigned at each class meeting. The student is expected to attempt every problem before coming to class.

TESTS
There will be four in-class tests during the semester, two skills tests, unannounced quizzes, and a mandatory, cumulative final exam. There will be no make-up exams or quizzes during the semester unless the absence is excused by university policy (ie. religious holidays or university sponsored events requiring a student's attendance). The instructor has the right to ask for documentation to determine whether an absence is excused. ALL make up exams will be given on Saturday, April 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. If an exam is missed for another legitimate reason (to be determined by the instructor) then the final will be counted twice, as the missed test and the final exam.

GRADING POLICY
Class tests will be 65% of the final grade. Skill tests will be 10% of the final grade. Quizzes will be 5% of the final grade. Final Examination will be 20% of the final grade. Plus/minus grades will NOT be awarded. Students must pass the first skills test to be eligible to receive a passing grade in this course. Students must pass the second skills test to be eligible to receive a grade higher than a C in this course.
