HOMEWORK Homework will not be collected, but it is essential that ALL of it be done.

TESTS 5 one hour exams, one on each unit, and a comprehensive two hour final.

GRADING POLICY Each of the 5 one hour exams and the final exam count 100 points. The lowest of these 6 grades will be dropped. THERE WILL BE NO MAKE UP EXAMS.Attendance will be taken. If there are no more than two unexcused absences, 15 extra points will be added to the sum of the 5 highest test scores.If it is desired to replace a second exam grade, you may write a paper on one of the five subjects of the course. It is expected that this paper will utilize sources from the library which go beyond the scope of the material covered in class and your text. It you take this option, the paper is due at class time on June 16, 2003.
