Software in the Math Lab
The Math Lab computers are currently equipped with the following programs:
MatLab 5.0
MatLab integrates computation, data analysis, visualization, and programming in one complete environment. MatLab is easy to use and learn, and it offers you an intuitive language for expressing problems and solving them.
Maple 8.0
Maple delivers a comprehensive environment for visualizing and exploring mathematical
concepts and developing mathematical applications.
Mathematica 3.0
Mathematica provides a complete collection of mathematical functions, and performs operations on matrices of any size (inverses, eigenvalues, etc.), ordinary and partial differential equations, Fourier transforms, data manipulation, fitting and statistics, root finding, optimization and number theory.
Graphmatica 2.0d
Graphmatica is a powerful, easy-to-use, equation plotter with numerical and calculus features.
Tutors are not responsible for software.
